Computers at Emmanuel
We believe that computer class is an important part of a child’s education. In today’s technology-driven society, a child that does not learn how to use the computer effectively at a young age will be left behind. That is why we begin computer classes in first grade. We know the importance of students learning more than how to play games on the computer and writing e-mails to their friends. That is why we have developed a curriculum that challenges the students from a young age.
In elementary, the students will be exposed to the components of the computer, word processing, presentations, spreadsheets, html coding, design projects and much more. The students have a vast knowledge of how to create documents and presentations that will benefit them for many years.
The students continue computers through high school where they will learn more than just the basics, but will delve deeper through the MS Office 2010 Suite, Windows 7, HTML coding, video editing, and and introduction to the OpenSource movement of software design.
