A Christian school secretary serves as the welcoming face of the school, managing daily administrative operations while modeling Christian character. Key duties include managing student records, attendance, correspondence, data entry, welcoming visitors and answering phones, administering basic fi rst aid, and supporting staff with clerical tasks, chapel preparations, and scheduling.
Core Responsibilities:
● Front Office Management: Greeting visitors, answering phone calls, handling incoming/outgoing mail, and ensuring the offi ce is professional, welcoming, organized and detail oriented, and gives campus tours. ● Student Services: Maintaining student records (attendance, immunizations, academic fi les), supporting health needs (distributing ice packs, calling parents), and coordinating school supply lists. ● Communication: Managing the school calendar, preparing newsletters, etc. ● Administrative Support: Assisting the principal and staff with scheduling, preparing materials for school events, ordering supplies, and entering student information into FACTS/RenWeb. Spiritual and Personal Qualifications. ● Faith Alignment: Professionally and personally demonstrate a commitment to Jesus Christ and alignment with the school's doctrinal statement. ● Christian Role Model: Maintain a high standard of Christian behavior, speech, and attitude. Currently involved and active in church. ● Confi dentiality: Demonstrate high levels of discretion in managing sensitive student and family information. Required Skills and Physical Requirements ● Technical Profi ciency: Computer experience including Google, emails, and ability to learn school management software. ● Multitasking: Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. ● Physical Stamina: Often requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 25–40 lbs, and assisting with tasks that require mobility.
