Our mission is to provide a quality, christ-centered education.
About ECS
Emmanuel Christian School was founded in Dothan, AL in 1967. It began with a handful of parents who were seeking an alternative to the public school system and a desire to offer a decidedly Christian perspective to education. To fully establish the school, the governing body purchased land on the west side of Dothan in the late 1960s to establish a permanent home for ECS. The current facilities were built in 1970.
The goal of Emmanuel Christian School is to provide a Christ-centered, quality education so that all students have the opportunity to develop spiritually, physically, socially, and emotionally as they receive and apply the skills and encouragement needed to be effective leaders and witnesses for Christ today, tomorrow, and for eternity. Very simply put, our mission is to provide a quality, Christ-centered education.
At ECS we use Abeka and BJU curriculums, both of which integrate Christian values and Biblical Worldview principles into every aspect of our program.
Emmanuel, accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), is an independent non-denominational Christian school that accepts all students without regard to their families religious affiliations.*
