Scrip Cards

We are continuing to encourage the use of SCRIP. SCRIP allows you to purchase gift cards through the school office and use them instead of cash at various businesses. By using SCRIP you receive the full value of the gift card, but the school also receives a discount for each card we sell. You can pick up a list of the SCRIP cards we keep in stock in the office. You can also see a complete listing of available SCRIP at www.glscrip.com.

ECSPO

This is the last week for the Spirit Card fundraiser sponsored by the ECS Parent Organization (ECSPO). The last prize day is Thursday, Sept. 2nd. All students selling 12 or more cards by Sept. 2nd will receive a free entrance pass to the National Peanut Festival. All students selling at least 10 cards will get to attend a pizza party.

The ECSPO Charity Golf Tournament will be held on Friday, September 24, 2010, at Roundabout Plantation with shotgun start at 2:00 p.m. The ECSPO is looking for teams and sponsorships, as well as donations of food, goods, or services to be used for giveaways and prizes. Volunteers to work the tournament are also needed. For more information, or to offer your help, please contact Renay Bruce at (334) 794-3859 or Jennifer Brackin at (334) 793-3300. Information regarding corporate sponsorships can be obtained from the ECS office.

School Wide

August 31 - All class t-shirt orders are due by Tuesday.

September 1 - Tuition is due
September 2 - Boys JV Basketball tryouts will be held from 5:30-7:00 p.m. This is open for all boys in grades 6-10.
September 3 - Girls Basketball tryouts will be held from 3:15-5:00 p.m. This is open for all girls in grades 7-12.
September 6 - Labor Day Holiday. There will be no school nor holiday care.
September 11 - Baseball tryouts will be held the week of September 11th.
September 24 - ECSPO Charity Golf Tournament at Roundabout Plantation with shotgun start at 2:00 p.m.

Help Support Belize Missions

Operation Christmas Child has been growing since 1993, and for the past couple of years, our school has taken this project on with force. Through your help and the work of our missions group Six Steps, we have sent out the Gospel of Jesus Christ to over five hundred kids in only a couple of years. Last year you carried out the great commission by sending out 201 boxes. This year we are wanting to do even more. Our goal this year is to send out 225 boxes. This will take an effort by everyone. You don't have to spend a lot of time or money on this project. We are challenging you to talk with local leaders and businesses about helping to support this cause. We want you to network with the people you already know to find ways you can give. Let us bless the nations with the Word of God.
